Job Description- IT Security and compliance / Cyber Security

About the Role

We are building an IT security team in India that delivers data protection, IT security, and penetration testing according to European and German standards. We are looking for specialists who work independently, perform technical assessments, produce audit-ready reports, and establish recurring testing processes across all our systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests and vulnerability assessments across server, cloud, and network infrastructure
• Build and operate recurring, regular testing cycles for all systems (continuous vulnerability and compliance monitoring)
• Implement and verify data protection and security requirements in line with GDPR, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and ISO/IEC 27001
• Assess and harden server environments (Windows / Linux) and Microsoft Azure infrastructure
• Create structured, traceable assessment and result reports, including risk ratings and clear remediation recommendations
• Define and document test and audit processes (methodology, repeatability, finding tracking)
• Track remediation of identified vulnerabilities (retesting) through to closure

Your Profile

Required

• Degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a comparable field — or equivalent professional experience
• Solid knowledge of IT security and penetration testing (methodologies such as OWASP, OSSTMM, PTES)
• Hands-on experience with server administration (Windows Server / Linux) and network structures
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (security, identity, configuration)
• Working knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks: GDPR, BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO/IEC 27001
